*SOLVED*
QUOTE
I am using Mp3tag to tag my music for my phone (Nokia N-95 8GB). I have embedded album art for every track, but they don't show up on the phone at all.

After a lot of hair pulling and blaming the phone, I took a chance and tried Zortam. I resaved all my MP3 tags in ISO-8859, and they all displayed fine in Zortam, but the album art didn't. I cleared the tag in Zortam and resaved using Zortam to embed the image as 'FRONT COVER' and it worked fine!

It seems that my phone needs whatever tag that Zortam produces to work. I though that Mp3tag saved as FRONT COVER by default, is this the case? I really want to use Mp3tag (Zortam is too clunky), but this is a real deal breaker for me!

I've attached two files. They are both the same file, one tagged with Mp3tag and the other tagged with Zortam (image embedded as FRONT COVER), both in ISO-8859 format.

Can anyone explain the problem? Is there a way around it? If this can be fixed to embed album art for the Nokia Symbian platform, I think quite a few users will be adopting it! wink.gif

EDIT: I checked the tracks tagged by Mp3tag in WMP 11, using the Advanced Tag Editor, and the album art picture type shows as User Defined as opposed to 'Cover (front)', which is what I guess it should be?

The problem lays with the version of AV Album Art Fixer that I am using. Another good program, but this flaw is pretty big. Is there a way to edit the COVER tag with Mp3tag to make the USER DEFINED property FRONT COVER instead? That would make things pretty damn easy!

Cheers, Ritchie.

Download Mp3tag Beta http://developer.mp3tag.de/ and you can change the cover type via context menu

Brilliant! That does the trick! Very nice GUI addition.
