Hey Pufas,
Don't know if you roam around here anymore? Anyway I just wanted to say that your scrips where absolutely amazing, none has come close since. I actually thing that the 1.x versions where the best and I'm still using the "last" 1.x which was 1.23. Know you felt they got to fat and slow, I didn't agree... In the end I'm reluctantly using iTunes, it sucks, but it integrates with my iPhone, with iSub and other music solutions I'm using. I've made a few modifications in the script and many, many actions to get the info presented in an optimal way in iTunes. Anyway, me rambling, it's now 1 year ago since you stopped working on it, and 1 year of usage for me so once again, thank you! Regards, Matthias Added those new fields and posted v1.23. Btw, my is script is getting fat & slow, so I'm planing to to move most of processing from websource to actions, and move all those credit things to MUSICIANCREDITS, and leave few like REMIX, COMPOSER, DJMIX... this means basically redo whole script... when I have time... |

Hey Pufas,
I really appreciate the time you spent on this script, it has been perfect for my needs. I have a quick question regarding the release of V2.47 and the change of fields from band to albumartist. When I run your script the field "albumartist" doesn't seem to be populated anymore - I am terrible at editing scripts and any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks. |

I think I cracked it myself - I used custom mappings to write BAND To ALBUMARTIST.

Is there any way to add featuring-field from Discogs into artist tag? It's really important in release like this.

Is there any way to add featuring-field from Discogs into artist tag? It's really important in release like this. I thought this skript writes it into MIXARTIST. If not, it's maybe outdated, have a look at these: http://forums.mp3tag.de/index.php?showtopic=10431 or http://forums.mp3tag.de/index.php?showtopic=2141 |

Unfortunately, Discogs changed something in the XML API. As a result of corrupted tags actors and roles.
Pufas, we need your help please) |

anyone? :/ Why don't you try one of the other discogs scripts. You can edit all tag name in the way you want them with my Discogs (Pone Mod). The only thing you don't get with the non-API scripts are the Main Artist Names. You always get just the Artist Name Variation as given on a discogs release. I am thinking about making an API version of my script for some time. But I just haven't found the time for a close look at the API pages to see how they are built up. |

I've tried your script, but it didn't work. It does work. You have to do some installation steps befor you can use it. This is necessary for the script to make it customizable by the users. There is a short instruction in the starting post: http://forums.mp3tag.de/index.php?showtopi...ost&p=41277 Just ask if you have problems. |

Too complicated. Can you modify an old script version? I want it to be simple.
Why nobody cares about this problem? Am I the only one who uses mp3tag? |

Too complicated. Can you modify an old script version? I want it to be simple. Why nobody cares about this problem? Am I the only one who uses mp3tag? ??? You say my 8-steps-instruction is too complicated, but you want me to modify Pufas' script!?! It would take me a lot of time to understand how Pufas' scripts worked, why it doesn't work now, and what I have to change to get it working again. By the way, have you read Pufas' instructions? His script is not so easy to use. You have to search the release in your web browser instead with the Mp3tag and you have run an action after using the web sources for every release! There are several working discogs scripts for Mp3tag. - A basic script which is already built into Mp3tag. - Dano's scripts, which have a standard and an extended version and easier to use as Pufas' script. - My script, which has to be exported from a setting-mp3 file first, but allows a maximum of customisation so every tag-field name will be as you want it. There are also two older scrits from which I don't know if they work, just test them: - an API Script by Dano - a modification of Dano's scripts by Ydope - an API Script by TerzOpperatior |
