I would really like Mp3Tag to export to MS Excel format (.xls) and to SQL format.

It's just a matter of coding the export configuration - no need to modify MP3Tag for that. I guess XLS files are binary so you cannot export to them and SQL is a bit too specific since the name of the tables and fields can vary from user to user.
