That doesn't happen for me. I've made many test about that. Do you have the newest Mp3tag version (v2.50)?

Before the last update I seemed to have this working, but can't seem to get it working now so:

for the CATALOG#, I just want it sitting in a pair parenthesis e.g. (AG005), and also this CATALOG# to be inserted after the ALBUM title e.g.

I use the same format only with closed brackets. Go to OTHER FIELDS & OPTIONS

yes, the settings for this are in the CREDITS; NOTES; IDENTIFIERS; COMPANIES section:

For Credtis, choose:

Combine Credit fields with other fields:
- Track Credits Primary Names >no
- Track Credits Name Variations >no

- Album Credits Primary Names >yes
- Album Credits Name Variations >yes


For all other things there, choose:
- with headline >yes
- multiline >yes

I just want to write the Discnumber for multible cd releases, but not the Totaldiscs tag, like it is possible for Track and Totaltrack. But if I leave the space after the > empty it writes me the tracknumbers into the Title field..

My TRACK & DISCNUMBER Options look like that now:

I get the same results as you. Looks like a bug in the script whith the setting you have choosen. I will have a look and fix it as soon as possible.

If you set this to "yes", the tracknumbers start with 1 for at every disc. If you set it to "no", the tracknumbers are counted from the first to the last track, no matter on what disc they are.

I think the script has a problem with this release:
