Hi, thanks for a great site and a very nice and useful program.

I've been searching the forum for information regarding the file - tag conversion option, looking for something that could make you include your mp3-files' folder as a valid namesetter.

For example, most of my mp3's is stripped of their tags (dunno why I did this in the first place) and placed in a hierarchy like this:
/music/artist/album/artist - track# - title.mp3

My question is, is it possible to set a new tag with information from the album folder name? Like: %Folder1% (for the folder closest to the actual files) - %artist% - %track% - %title%

If possible, please tell me how to do so, and if not, this could be a useful feature, atleast for people like me!

Thanks in advance.

Hi Rigormortis!

Just read the "music" directory with Mp3Tag (option to read all subfolders should be on) and run the Filename-Tag-Converter with:

CODE
Formatstring: %dummy%\%dummy%\%album%\%artist% - %track% - %title%

Use %dummy% instead of %track% etc. if you dont want this fields to be imported.
