Hello,
I want to subject a small defect with Mp3Tag 2.36.
Sometimes, the tag "Comment" shows 2 sentences identical (See screenshot -
Line "Commentaires" in french).
If I delete one of the lines, the tag is not visible any more in the
properties of Windows (See screenshot).
(Sorry for my english, I'm french !)

I don't think that this is a bug in Mp3tag, but a limitation of Windows Explorer, because it reads comments in the current locale only.
Since you're using a french version of Windows, you have to create a new registry key
CODE
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Moebius\Mp3tag\Settings\ID3v2DefaultLang
and set it to FRA or FRE

Florian
Hello,
Please, « ID3v2DefaultLang » is a registry key ou value DWORD or other value ?

What tag types are you using in Mp3tag?
Hello
Sorry...
... After several attempts, that seems to work!
I made the modification, then a test... Identical Problem.
Then I restarted the computer. And now, it is OK!

No, it's good with FRA
What tag types are you using in Mp3tag?
Only those who are legible in the properties of Windows...
... And I delete the others (When there is) !
Thank you very much

How did you manage to get the ID3v1, IDV2 & APE tabs in the properties dialogue of Window Explorer?
If I look at the properties of an mp3 file with MS Explorer I only have the first and last tab.

It's in the language file
mp3tag.lng now (key _M_STR_ID3V2LANG).
Hello,
Thank you!
It is just necessary to replace « eng » by « fra »?

Intresting this old post.
I'm wondering if it is also possible to adjust Windows explorer so that it also displays the comment tag that is in another language than the langugae of the OS itself.
When Explorer should also show tags with the ENG language descriptor there is no need to change the settings of mp3tag and also no problems anymore with iTunes, Winamp, Foobar2000 etc...
Is there a register key for this?
