A question about to sort mp3's via design (Menü Ansicht) Sort on:
filename
track
artist
title
....
V path «««
etc.
When load a directory with 10 dirs or more Mp3tag goes to sort on tracknumber (default). Is it posible to change that and make this to the default like sort on path.
yes, this is possible - simply click on the "Path" column header. This way Mp3tag will sort the files by path. When you restart Mp3tag, it should keep this sorting.
It works fine now. Sort on path. I'm bussy to retag my jazz-files on my HD.
Put the Style into the comment-field. Like smooth jazz, crossover jazz, fusion, acid jazz, etc. Works fine up to > 600 dir's in one time.
Hi Florian,
I have a similar problem. I want my files to be sorted by Path and Filename. But Mp3tag only saves generally only one sort criteria and not more. So if I open a directory the files are sorted by path but the filenames inbetween one directory are unsorted (after creation date I guess). So I have to click on the column header "Filename" and afterwards "Path" to get them sorted as I want them. That works as long as I do not refresh the view, change the directory or restart the program. In tha cases the filenames are again unsorted.
It would be great if Mp3tag could save more than one sort criteria like in the export configurations. I hope you can understand my problem.
please try the latest Development Build. I've added sorting by multiple criterias when pressing the [Shift] key. That means, when you sort by filename and then hold the [Shift] key down when sorting by path, it should remember your multiple sorting styles.
